Tom Gardiner (pictured) has been appointed as a principal at Fisher Dore Lawyers, which has offices in Brisbane, Mackay and Cairns.

Mr Gardiner started with the firm in 2016 and was admitted nearly eight years ago. According to the firm, he has “quickly risen through the ranks to earn his place”.

Speaking about the promotion, managing principal Nick Dore said that Mr Gardiner’s elevation is “well deserved”.

“During his time here, Tom has worked hard and built his own brand, referral sources and client base. Last year, he successfully completed the QLS Criminal Law Specialist Accreditation. He has been a loyal and trusted member of the team and has always worked over and above what has been required of him. Tom is a strong firm ambassador and has proven he has the attributes to hold the level of principal,” he said.

Mr Gardiner, who the firm said “believes in the importance of rehabilitation in the criminal justice system and is a strong advocate for the presumption of innocence and the right to know the case against you”, said that the firm’s future is bright.

“[Our cohort of talented associates] are producing quality results and bringing in their own referrals, which is tremendous for the continual growth of the firm,” he said.

“The great strength of Fisher Dore Lawyers has always been the humble, hardworking and fierce advocacy approach that Nick Dore and Terry Fisher exemplify. The Fisher Dore brand is built on those qualities and I believe this distinguishes our firm’s leadership from others in the industry. I’m excited to be part of that.”
