SA firm acquires Adelaide-based boutique
SME firm Andersons Solicitors has acquired Stokes Legal, a boutique practice based in Adelaide.

The acquisition strengthens Andersons’ full-service offering, the firm said in a statement, and marks a strengthening of its position in the South Australian market, said Andersons COO Dion McCaffrie.
Stokes Legal will continue to operate under its brand, while its founders, David and Angela Stokes, will retire. By operating under the Andersons banner, however, that firm’s presence in South Australia will grow to eight offices.
In a statement, Andersons noted that teams from the two firms have been working closely to ensure that there is minimal disruption to the clients of Stokes in the wake of the acquisition.
“We wanted to ensure our clients were left in safe and trusted hands, and we’re pleased to have found that in Andersons Solicitors,” Mr Stokes said.
“Our clients will have access to a well-resourced, highly credible team of lawyers working to deliver practical, efficient and cost-effective legal services.”
The acquisition will officially commence from 1 July 2021.
The news follows the acquisition of Kordos Lawyers by listed firm AF Legal, which also acquired Watts McCray earlier this year.
