Following the untimely onset of coronavirus in 2020, Lawyers Weekly is thrilled to announce that the event, which was such a success in 2019, will be returning this year.

The Boutique Law Summit (BLS) is a one-day, must-attend event that has been specifically designed for the SME legal sector, including but not limited to sole practitioners, boutique firm owners and lawyers, business leaders, barristers and more. If you are looking to discover groundbreaking business practices and learn more about utilisation of cutting-edge technology, so as to maximise your competitive edge in a post-pandemic marketplace, then this is the event for you!

The summit is jam-packed with inspiring and insightful speakers, including former winners of Lawyers Weekly’s awards programs, and the agenda will feature practical discussions that offer a holistic approach to legal practice in the looming new normal.

Speaking about the upcoming event, Lawyers Weekly deputy editor Jerome Doraisamy said it is thrilling to see the return of BLS in 2021.

“We are delighted to bring back BLS to our boutique lawyer audience this year. It is a testament to our events team, especially event producer Charlotte Laurent, that we are able to host this event in Sydney once more,” he said.

“The agenda has been tailored to address the broader vocational, practical and cultural concerns of the SME marketplace, and we believe – together with the impressive speaker line-up – that this event cannot be missed by those looking to ensure that their businesses thrive in a post-pandemic world.”

Thomson Reuters vice president of legal solutions (Asia & Emerging Markets) James Jarvis added: "“In 2020, we saw a tremendous amount of change in how lawyers are working. Now, in 2021, there is a rapid shift to these activities becoming mature processes in how the lawyers create their work product and engage with clients."

"We’re excited to join you at the Boutique Lawyers Summit and share some of these practices and insights, demonstrating why the latest in legal research and guidance tech is right for your lawyers and practice," Mr Jarvis concluded.

CPD points are available for attendees.
