Hall & Wilcox hires new transport and trade partner
The specialist insurance, transport and logistics capabilities at national firm Hall & Wilcox have been broadened with the appointment of a new partner.

Partner Chris Sacré will lead Hall & Wilcox’s marine insurance practice where he will increase the firm’s capability in specialty insurance lines. He will also bolster the firm’s expertise in global logistics and trade, having been highly regarded for his work in marine insurance, shipping and international trade.
“He provides advice on cross border deals and helps clients resolve trade and shipping disputes quickly and efficiently. He also is a great fit for us. We are pleased to have Chris come on board at Hall & Wilcox.”
Mr Sacré advises leading Australian marine insurers in cargo, hull, liability and pleasure craft space on property damage, personal injury claims and recoveries. He handles large commodity and international trade contracts and disputes litigated or arbitrated in Australia, Europe and London.
Offshore, Mr Sacré advises ship owners, operators, charterers, cargo owners, managers, agents, intermediaries and their insurers on a wide range of issues that arise in Australia and worldwide. He handles freezing injunctions, ship arrests, oil pollution claims, collisions, groundings and casualties.
Onshore, he advises on road carriage claims and chain of responsibility issues as well as claims directed at freight forwarders under multimodal bills of lading. He advises on contracts for the supply of petroleum products and operation of service stations for one of Australia’s largest fuel suppliers.
