Aussie law firm acquires another, bolsters senior headcount
An Australian law firm has kicked off the new year with the acquisition of another firm and appointment of two senior lawyers.
HHG Legal Group has further bolstered its team across the family law and criminal law space with the appointment of Claire Harrison and Naomi Sherrington, who joined HHG as a senior associate and senior lawyer, respectively.
The appointment of the pair coincides with HHG Legal Group officially acquiring Kroon Legal, which opened as HHG Legal Group Bunbury on 1 January 2021.
Accredited family lawyer Rod Kroon will stay on to manage the revamped team.
According to HHG executive chairman Simon Creek, the acquisition consolidates the firm’s position as the “leading medium-sized, full service law firm that is committed to assisting all Western Australians, regionally and in the Metropolitan area”.
“The Bunbury office will allow us to service the thriving agribusiness and tourism industries of the South West region, as well as the individuals, families, and Local Governments,” he said.
“The Kroon Legal team, including firm founder and highly regarded accredited family lawyer, Rod Kroon, will continue to work with HHG Legal Group as we build upon their strong legacy in the region over the last 20 years.”
On the appointments of Ms Harrison and Ms Sherrington, Mr Creek said: “These two appointments, alongside our expansion into Bunbury, further strengthen the firm’s ability to provide award-winning, quality legal advice and representation across WA.”
“Claire and Naomi both have an unwavering commitment to achieve the best possible outcome for their clients and will add further depth of expertise to the team.
“We are delighted by these two appointments, the expansion and the positive outlook for 2021.”
