Gavin Robertson has returned to the firm where he spent six years, prior to moving in-house.

He will serve as a principal in the firm’s Sydney-based commercial team.

“We’re excited to have Gavin back at Macpherson Kelley and to have his experience and skills on hand for our clients,” the firm’s CEO, Steve Parker, said.

“He is highly regarded in his field and valued by clients for his direct, no-nonsense approach to finding solutions to their problems and achieving their goals.”

Mr Robertson said Macpherson Kelley’s “mix of outstanding clients and excellent workplace culture” made it easy to return to the firm.

“I’m excited by the opportunity to work on a wide range of legal challenges faced by clients from all sides of the commercial world,” he said.

The appointment comes after the firm expanded its ranks in Brisbane, with the hiring of four new lawyers, including two special counsel, and a new principal to its Sydney office.

“Brisbane and Queensland has been a real success story for Macpherson Kelley with significant growth over the last couple of years in particular. Our reputation for service and delivering outcomes is seeing significant growth in client demand,” Mr Parker said at the time.
