2 promoted to principal
An Australian firm has announced it has promoted two from its senior ranks to principal, effective immediately.
McCabes Lawyers has revealed Amanda Kmetyk (pictured left) and Foez Dewan (pictured right) have been promoted to principal.
McCabes managing principal Andrew Lacey said the promotions reflect the strength of the firm, particularly its growing litigation division.
“McCabes continues to grow and perform at a high level,” Mr Lacey said.
“Our litigation division is strong, with both the insurance litigation and commercial litigation groups maintaining a high standard and volume of work.
“Both Amanda and Foez reflect the leadership and commitment to quality that McCabes values, and is known for.”
Ms Kmetyk and Mr Dewan said they are thrilled about their new roles and the opportunities they present.
“McCabes is a strong and growing law firm,” Ms Kmetyk said.
“I am proud to be named a principal and look forward to continuing to work with clients to deliver innovative legal outcomes.”
Mr Dewan added: “I am excited about my new role at McCabes. Having celebrated the firm’s 25th anniversary only a few months ago, I look forward to working with my co-principals to prepare our firm for the next 25 years and beyond.
“We have an excellent client base, and lawyers who are highly skilled and experienced. I am confident that we will continue to be the legal firm of choice across a range of industries in the years ahead,” he said.
In addition, McCabes announced it has promoted two new senior associates, Eleni Manetakis and Jessie Tye. The pair are also members of the firm’s litigation division.
