MacDonnells Law has revealed it has promoted some of its most talented lawyers, “following years of dedication, hard work and skill development”.

Commercial lawyer Juanita Maiden (pictured left) has been promoted to senior associate, while government lawyer Julian Bodenmann (pictured right) has been promoted to associate.

Ms Maiden joined MacDonnells Law in 2009 after being admitted as a lawyer in 1997. She brought to the firm a wealth of private corporate experience and business acumen.

Ms Maiden primarily practises in wills and estates, as well as succession law, and has built a successful practice in estate administration and disputes, commercial law and sports law.

"With a commitment and depth of knowledge in both succession and commercial law, and business realities, Juanita is uniquely placed to assist her clients in planning for their future and dealing with issues as they arise," said MacDonnells Law commercial practice group leader and partner Melissa Sinopoli.

Mr Bodenmann kicked off his legal career as a MacDonnells Law summer clerk six years ago before becoming a legal clerk in 2012, undergoing training in the firm’s Brisbane and Cairns offices.

Since being admitted as a lawyer in 2013, Mr Bodenmann has advised local government, as well as corporate and commercial clients in the property, planning and development areas, commercial litigation and mining matters.

"Julian's legal expertise in this speciality area of law is highly valued and his commitment to delivering the best outcomes for our clients is outstanding," MacDonnells Law government practice group leader and partner Eleanor Scott said.

"Our roles often take us to the far reaches of Queensland in order to service our clients' needs, and Julian has clocked up quite a few miles to better understand our clients' businesses so that they receive quality legal support specific to their requirements."
