Maddocks has announced it has appointed Arlene Colquhoun (pictured) to join as special counsel in the firm’s banking and finance team, based in Sydney.

Ms Colquhoun brings to her new role 16 years’ experience as a banking and finance lawyer. She has worked on a wide range of banking and finance transactions, including corporate, property, acquisition and project finance.

Ms Colquhoun’s extensive client database includes Australian and international corporate borrowers, and financial institutions and issuers in the Australian and United States debt capital markets.

Maddocks corporate and commercial Sydney practice team leader Duncan Hall welcomed Ms Colquhoun’s appointment, saying she would help to strengthen the firm’s specialist national banking and finance team.

“Arlene has a long history of significant banking and finance work both in Australia and overseas,” Mr Hall said.

“She also has a strong commitment to providing commercial legal advice specifically tailored to the needs of her clients, and shares our approach to creating and maintaining deep and longstanding relationships with our clients.”
