Elizabeth Ferrier (pictured) has joined the firm’s Sydney office from Asciano Limited, where she was general manager of industrial relations across all of the Asciano businesses.

Prior to this she was the lead HR business partner of maintenance operations for Qantas Airways.

Ms Ferrier advises across the full range of employment matters, including employment contracts and policies, business sales and outsourcing, employee discipline and termination, and employment-related litigation, with a particular focus on industrial relations.

Ms Ferrier’s extensive resume includes experience across private legal practice and in-house, in both senior HR and industrial relations roles.

She has worked for clients across a number of industries, including aviation, technology, transport and logistics, pharmaceuticals and financial services.

Some examples of Ms Ferrier’s work include managing complex industrial relations strategies, negotiations and litigation for large Australian logistics companies, advising on and acting for a large telecommunications company, and successfully defending a complex discrimination claim against a major financial institution in the Federal Court of Australia.
