National appoints new partner
A firm with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane has announced the appointment of a new construction and engineering partner.
Colin Biggers & Paisley (CBP) has named Catherine Bell (pictured) as its new construction and engineering partner for the firm’s Melbourne office.
She joins CBP from Cornwall Stodart where she was a partner for two and a half years. Prior to this, she was employed by Herbert Geer, Holding Redlich, Sparke Helmore and Baker & McKenzie.
Ms Bell’s appointment comes as CBP looks to expand its footprint in Melbourne.
“We’re excited to have Catherine joining us in our Melbourne office,” said Dunstan de Souza, managing partner for CBP.
“She has a wealth of experience and a reputation as a leading construction lawyer.
“Her appointment will continue to strengthen our position as a leading legal practice in the construction industry.”
CBP also recently announced the appointment of Peter Bournas as a property and development partner, and promoted Daniel Creasey, the head of pro bono and responsible business, to a partner within the insurance team.
The firm has also appointed Stephen Thompson as partner, Richard Arrage as special counsel for its transport and logistics team, and Rebecca Castley as a partner for its property and development team.
