Jane Kupsch (pictured) will commence her new role at Piper Alderman’s Melbourne office. Prior to her recent appointment, she was an associate at Piper Alderman from 2002 to 2004 before spending 12 years at boutique corporate firm Brian Ward & Partners.

Ms Kupsch specialises in a range of litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes across several state and federal courts and tribunals.

She has experience in acting for directors and officers in litigation, and matters concerning the duties and obligations of directors, company officers and senior employees in a wide variety of disputes.

Tony Britten-Jones, managing partner for Piper Alderman, welcomed the appointment of Ms Kupsch, saying her level of experience and market reputation will be a valuable asset to the firm.

“Our dispute resolution practice is highly regarded in the market and will be further enhanced with Jane’s appointment,” he said.

“Jane is a highly respected litigator and is known for her strategic thinking, tenacity and commerciality.

“With her technical and professional expertise, Jane adds further bench depth to our team – reinforcing our leading position in the litigation and insolvency market. Jane culturally and professionally will be a great addition to our team.”

Ms Kupsch said she is thrilled to rejoin Piper Alderman and looks forward to the responsibility her new role will provide.

“Clients want to feel part of a team that sees past the process of litigation and harnesses its combined expertise to deliver sound strategic advice and commercial outcomes,” she said.

“I am thrilled to be returning to Piper Alderman where the focus on key commercial practice areas and a collaborative culture will provide the perfect environment in which to provide excellent service.”

Ms Kupsch’s appointment comes after Piper Alderman announced the promotion of two partners earlier this month.

Real estate partner Lexia Wilson and intellectual property partner Tim O’Callaghan have stepped up as deputy managing partners, with the responsibility of growing the business and attracting new talent to the firm.
