Mr Klotz (pictured), who has nearly 30 years of commercial litigation experience, has left Norton Rose Fulbright to join Hall & Wilcox in Sydney.

His area of specialisation is in corporate and commercial dispute resolution, with a particular focus on complex debt, competition and consumer law, contract, corporations law, equity, real property and regulatory investigations.

His industry knowledge covers finance, energy, government, health, infrastructure, IT, mining, pharmaceutical, property, retail and transport.

"Stephen is a talented practitioner whose experience greatly complements the work we are doing with the larger corporates," Tony Macvean, managing partner of Hall & Wilcox, said.

"Our dispute resolution team, headed up by senior partner Graydon Dowd, is a strong practice within the firm and one with growth potential. Stephen will play a key role in growing the Sydney and national commercial practice more generally."

Earlier this year Hall & Wilcox appointed partners Marina Raulings and Nick Slack from MinterEllison.

Norton Rose Fulbright has lost a number of partners recently, including Charmian Barton to HWL Ebsworth, Simon Johnson to Corrs Chambers Westgarth, and Con Boulougouris and his team to MinterEllison.
