Allen & Overy announces 21 global promotions
International firm Allen & Overy has appointed new partners across its global offices, including two in Australia.
Overall, 21 partners have been named across 12 offices in 11 countries.
Mr Abbott is a banking and finance lawyer with experience on project, corporation and acquisition financings, including in the infrastructure, energy and resources sectors.
He previously advised the financiers to the Nexus Group in relation to the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing PPP, as well as Palisade Investment Partners on its acquisition of the North Queensland Gas Pipeline.
Mr Galic works within the energy and resources practice, advising in relation to the acquisition, development and operation of onshore and off-shore mining and oil and gas projects.
He was previously involved in the $40 billion Ichthys LNG project, the $7 billion Roy Hill iron ore project and a number of overseas developments.
Worldwide, nearly half of the promotions were in the banking practice while five were in corporate.
Over two thirds of the new partners will be based outside of London, with seven in the Asia-Pacific region.
