Perth firm promotes one to partner
Kott Gunning Lawyers has announced the promotion of senior associate Anne Wood to partner in its local government practice.

Ms Wood (pictured) joined Kott Gunning as an articled clerk in 2006 and her latest promotion to partner will take effect on 1 January 2016.
Prior to pursuing a career in the law, Ms Wood worked for a number of years as an adviser to various state government ministers, according to a release from Kott Gunning.
Her experience includes working within state government ministerial offices in the instructing, drafting and reviewing processes for legislation.
Ms Wood was recently elected as president of the Women’s Lawyers Association of Western Australia and is a member of the Australian Local Government Women’s Association of Western Australia.
Kott Gunning managing partner Tom Darbyshire said: “Anne’s promotion recognises the significant role she has played over a number of years developing our local government practice into the well regarded, vibrant and expanding practice that it is today”.
