The promoted lawyers are Lina Fischer, Peter Staciwa and Tim Webb in Sydney, Cain Sibley in Canberra and Lucy Terracall in Melbourne.
Peter Staciwa joined the firm recently in 2012 but brought with him more than 13 years' experience in domestic and international top-tier finance and projects. As part of the firm's banking and financial services team, Mr Staciwa has the ability to advise the private sector and also work on traditional government-side infrastructure projects.
Tim Webb has been with Clayton Utz since 2003, working in the IP and technology practice. He focuses on complex commercial litigation and dispute resolution for clients in the TMT sectors, and assisting clients with IP law in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Cain Sibley left his role as general counsel at a Commonwealth agency in 2011 to join Clayton Utz’s public sector practice in Canberra. His expertise is in public law (advisory and litigation) and his experience working for government supports clients with navigating difficult legal, political and reputational risks.
Lucy Terracall has practised in Clayton Utz’s Melbourne insurance team since 2007. She has more than 10 years' experience in insurance law and significant experience in insurance regulation and compliance.
Clayton Utz chief executive partner Rob Cutler said the appointments reflected the firm's client-service focus.
"Our new partners are talented lawyers, client-focused and collaborative team players. They know what it takes to deliver exceptional client service," Mr Cutler said.
"They are among our next generation of leaders, and I congratulate them on their appointments."
