New MD appointed after ACLA merger
A new managing director will head up Australia’s largest in-house counsel association, following its merger with a global counterpart.

The Australian Corporate Lawyers Association (ACLA), which announced last year it would join the Association of Corporate Counsel's international network, unveiled its rebranding this week as ACC Australia.
In the wake of the rebrand, ACC Australia announced existing ACLA CEO Trish Hyde had stepped aside.
Previous chief legal officer Tanya Khan (pictured) was appointed managing director, Australia and Asia Pacific, as well as vice president of the new organisation.
“We look forward to the global collaboration between the two parties and encourage all ACC members to take advantage of Australia-focused benefits and events, such as our national conference,” Ms Khan said.
General counsel of Bauer Media Adrian Goss remains on in his role as president.
Mr Goss paid tribute to Ms Hyde’s achievements in her five-year tenure over ACLA, including a 33 per cent growth in membership and the launch of the ACLA CG100.
“Trish’s strategic vision, entrepreneurship and commitment to members took the organisation to a new level, one which brought the opportunity to form a global alliance that will revolutionise the value we can offer members,” he said.
“We thank Trish for her invaluable contribution and we wish her every success. She leaves ACLA with the goodwill of the board, stakeholders and staff, and will be missed.”
