Australian firm opens in Fiji
Rockwell Olivier has become the first foreign legal practice to launch an office in Fiji.
The law firm, which is part of the ASX-listed ILH Group, has opened an office in Suva, Fiji’s capital.
PLN merged with Argyle Lawyers, Rockwell Bates and Talbot Olivier to form Rockwell Olivier last year.
Based in Sydney, PLN is the only organisation that provides multi-jurisdictional access to lawyers and business advisers in the Pacific.
John Ridgway, a former Clayton Utz partner and the managing principal of the Corporate and International Team at Rockwell Olivier, said the firm has an established client base in Fiji.
“This latest development is a vote of confidence in the Fiji economy and evidence of the support we receive from those clients,” he added.
The office is managed by Laura Houlihan, who is admitted to practice in both Fiji and NSW. She is an executive board member of Women In Business in Fiji and was recently appointed to the board of the Suva Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
