QUEENSLAND LAW Society president Rob Davis last week publicly celebrated and honoured the career of Ken Toogood, principal registrar and administrator, who has announced his retirement.
Speaking at Banco Court, Davis said “it is really an achievement to have served during the terms of eight Chief Justices and seventeen Attorneys-General and that is never likely to be approached, much less equalled or bested”.
“Those who faithfully serve the court administration do so strictly impartially and without expressing a personal view and that, of course, is how it should be,” said Davis.
“Toogood is, and will remain, the shining example of that impartial, silent and conscientious service. His forbearance — again a quality much noted in our branch of the profession — has been outstanding.”
