LAWYERS and legal experts from Australia, Hong Kong, South East Asia and the UK will come together in January for the Australasian Legal Mediation and Arbitration conference.
The Hong Kong event will feature specialist seminars hosted in the offices of local law firms, including Mallesons Stephen Jacques, Dechert, Haldanes, Withers Worldwide, Clifford Chance, Ince & Co, Hogan Lovells and Minter Ellison.
Australian QC Allan Myers and member of the Australian and Hong Kong Bar, Ian Lloyd QC, will be among the speakers at the three day event. Sir Laurence Street KCMG will offer keynote address, and the event organisers have just announced the inclusion of Justice Peter Rose.
Partner and practice team leader in Asia for construction and dispute resolution at Mallesons Stephen Jaques, Paul Starr, will also be speaking.
Doug Jones, Clayton Utz partner, will also speak at the event in Hong Kong. His role as president of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London, and president of the Australian Centre for International Arbitration, puts him in good stead to cover the topics.
Registrations for this event are limited and the early bird, saving AUD $500 is due to expire on Monday August 15.
