ACLA HAS formed a national mentoring program, with the aim of setting high standards for in-house lawyers.
After trialling a successful pilot program in Victoria, ACLA is making the national model available to its members throughout the rest of Australia in 2007.
The program was announced yesterday during the ACLA national conference at the Sheraton On The Park, Sydney, along with the ceremony for the ACLA awards.
“It’s a great initiative and program that will benefit senior and junior in-house counsel,” Claire Miller, president of ACLA’s NSW division said.
“It’s expected there will be a positive take up for the program which is scheduled to commence in early 2007.”
The program will cater for a broad range of corporate, in-house lawyers — from those in large in-house teams to those operating in small teams, or individually.
ACLA has appointed Sue Zablud as national program advisor after introducing the pilot program in Victoria.
