MIDDLETONS’ INSOLVENCY and corporate recovery team has appointed a new partner — Brendan Wyhoon.

Wyhoon will join the firm’s Sydney office, complementing the practice headed in Melbourne by Andrew Chambers.

Wyhoon specialises in all aspects of insolvency law and corporate recovery, having 10 years experience.

“We have had a focus for some time now on creating a balanced practice across Melbourne and Sydney,” Middletons managing partner Nick Nichola said in announcing the appointment.

“We have been quite strategic about this process, we have looked at the needs of our clients and we have spoken to them about our plans, and then we have set out to make it happen.

“Brendan and the recent appointments of Gerard Phillips and Joern Schimmelfeder are three examples of our planned approach. Brendan will be a great fit with our team which is almost as important as his skills as a lawyer and his approach to the delivery of advice, which are both first class.”

Wyhoon also a strong background in commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
