Linklaters is in Australia looking to poach local legal talent as part of its global recruitment program for both associates and graduate trainees.
The firm is primarily looking for talented corporate, finance, projects or commercial lawyers.
The firm has just completed interviews for its Australian clerkship program which runs for four weeks starting in December.
This is the sixth year that Linklaters has carried out the Australian program and the firm is looking for around 12 people for a London clerkship and a smaller number for a similar program in Hong Kong over Christmas.
Nearly 200 applicants from 10 Australian universities were interviewed in Sydney and Melbourne, primarily from Melbourne, Monash, New South Wales, Queensland and Sydney universities, which the firm targets specifically.
Students who complete the clerkship are automatically offered an interview for a training contract. If students accept the contracts, Linklaters will support them while they finish the rest of their degrees.
