The researchers, whose study was published in the journal Frontiers in Neuroanatomy, reviewed brain scans of students before and after they had spent 90 days intensely preparing for the test and compared them with scans of brains of students who weren’t taking the test. They found that the trained students developed “increased connectivity between the frontal lobes of the brain, and between frontal and parietal lobes.”
In other words, the LSAT takers showed stronger connections between the part of the brain tasked with deductive reasoning and the part that handles spatial cognition – our ability to do everyday tasks.
