The inaugural Gadens Women's Careers Forum will be held tonight (29 September) at Sydney University Law School.
All students are invited to attend for practical advice for climbing the ranks in the workplace despite the barriers which may still exist.
The many choices involved in starting out a career in law today, including clerkships and private practice, NGOs, in-house and judge's associate opportunities will be also discussed.
Prepared questions for the panel, which is to be moderated by Gadens partner John Dalzell, will look to address playing-field equality with men and women in law firms, factors of influence in choosing a career, regrets, keys to success, support networks and helping other women, disclosing plans to have a family and coming back from maternity leave.
