LexisNexis Australia* has today (8 July) launched a mobile service to give lawyers, law students and academics greater access to practitioner and academic legal texts.

The new eBooks provide legal research and texts to most mobile devices, including the iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and other eReader devices.

Twenty-one titles have been launched in digital format in areas like corporations law, consumer law and competition law, with over 60 more to be released digitally this year.

Currently available titles include Australian Corporations Legislation 2011, Cross on Evidence and Ford's Principles of Corporations Law (14th ed).

The books feature annotations, highlighting, printing, copying and pasting, customised font size and layout and hyperlinks.

"Lawyers can now read trusted LexisNexis commentary on the bus and access legislation in court, helping them work more effectively," said Mark K. Peter, Director of Technology at LexisNexis Pacific.

All LexisNexis publications will be available in digital and hardcopy format in future.

*LexisNexis is the publisher of Lawyers Weekly.
