LAWYERS WEEKLY officially launched its new-look website last night with the legal profession in Sydney.
A highlight of the evening came when Freehills lawyers George Cooper and Simon Taskunas, who work in the firm's Singapore office, called in and spoke to the guests via a large screen. In light-hearted speeches, the Australian lawyers Cooper and Taskunas told the audience what it was like to work in Singapore, and how they hoped to shed light on the legal world in Singapore via the Lawyers Weekly blog.
Guests were given access to the site through a row of computers set up, and were able to offer direct feedback to Lawyers Weekly on the site. The overwhelmingly positive responses included that the site was much easier to use than the previous one, that it was clean, and that the content was relevant and easy to navigate.
The free-to-access site allows readers to offer feedback to the Editor of the magazine, respond to the various blogs, search for legal jobs and find news relevant to them. An e-newsletter will be distributed to subscribers this Friday, offering breaking news on the legal profession and legal business. Readers can easily subscribe to this service here.
