Recognising the contributions individuals have made to improving access to justice in NSW, particularly for socially and economically disadvantaged people this year, awards include the Justice Medal, the Aboriginal Justice Award, the Law and Justice Volunteer Award and the Combined Community Legal Centres Group Award.

Director of the Law and Justice Foundation Geoff Mulherin says that the awards aim to recognise the achievements of people working at the coalface of access to justice.

“In the past five years, Justice Awards have been presented to individuals who have made real differences to the lives of many people, particularly those who face barriers to accessing the justice system people with intellectual and physical disabilities, refugees, low-income earners, Aboriginal people and people with mental illness.
