GIVEN THE chance, half of Lawyers Weekly’s readers would swap firms or organisations for better pay. This is the most attractive dangling carrot for those hoping to snap up talent from competitors, a new survey reveals.
Coming in second, 16 per cent of respondents said they would move for flexible hours, while equity partnership came in close behind at 14 per cent. Also at 14 per cent, a better boss would be enough to make many readers swap jobs.
More than 100 people voted on the online poll, which had been running for just under a week when the results were tallied. The least attractive option, according to readers, is salaried partnership at just 6 per cent. The results suggest the title of partner alone will never match equity when it comes to job offers.
