New head for VGSO police branch
The Victorian Government Solicitor's Office (VGSO) has appointed managing principal solicitor Shaun Le Grand as Assistant Victorian Government Solicitor (AVGS) to head the specialist team
The Victorian Government Solicitor's Office (VGSO) has appointed managing principal solicitor Shaun Le Grand as Assistant Victorian Government Solicitor (AVGS) to head the specialist team advising Victoria Police.
Joining the VGSO in 2008, Le Grand will head the team of lawyers advising Victoria Police on a range of matters including ethical standards, police powers, crime, evidence, administrative decisions and state liability.
Le Grand has also served as a reserve legal officer in the Royal Australian Navy for more than 10 years, primarily in legal advice, advocacy and management roles involving military discipline law and administrative law.
