IP Pragmatics, a UK-headquartered intellectual property, asset management and business development consultancy, has announced the official opening of its Australian office.
The consultancy's CEO, Dr Rupert Osborn, said they had already worked with a number of Australian and New Zealand companies and institutions in the past and the valuable nature of the life science market in the region had become apparent.
"Opening an office in Sydney demonstrates our commitment to the region and will enable us to offer an enhanced and seamless service to existing and new clients in the area who are looking to connect, in a cost-effective way, not only to the local markets but those in Europe and the US," he said.
The arrival of IP Pragmatics will see the introduction of two patent management and cost saving tools to the region which are already widely used by companies and universities in Europe.
"Being based in Sydney will allow me to work closely with our regional clients and to introduce them to products and services that can save them significant amounts of time and money," said Ronnie Georghiou, managing director, Australia and New Zealand, who made the move from London to head up the Sydney office.
"Leveraging the presence of IP Pragmatics in Sydney, Singapore and London, along with strategic partners in Japan and the US, will we will be able to offer local clients a large global team of experienced business development and IP management professionals."
