Around 150 members of the legal profession took part in Saturday's (6 November) Lawyers for a Cause charity sporting event, raising thousands of dollars for disadvantaged youth.

Hosted by the Law Society of Western Australia, the legal profession gave back to the community by taking part in either a five kilometre walk, 10 kilometre run or 35 kilometre cycle along the Swan River; or a swim leg between the groynes at City Beach and Floreat Beach.

All the money raised from the event will go towards the Chief Justice's Youth Appeal - a charity that distributes donations to a variety of projects and support services in Western Australia that assist in diverting youth from the criminal justice system.
