NSW Maritime has formally sacked its former general counsel after she was found to have engaged in corrupt conduct.
Earlier that month, the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) found that Kelly had engaged in corrupt conduct in running a private consultancy business with an annual turnover of $120,000 from her government office.
ICAC revealed that Kelly had sent over 4500 faxes from the premises of NSW Maritime between 2001 and 2009 and had forged a document and lied in an attempt to conceal her behaviour.
The spokesperson also confirmed that the conduct of Bonita Dacombe, a former colleague of Kelly's that was also found by ICAC to be engaged in corrupt practices by assisting Kelly with her consultancy work, was being reviewed in accordance with the appropriate disciplinary process for public sector employees.
Kelly still faces charges that she improperly accessed the computer of a former colleague, Paul Bertram.
