On 6 November, members of the Western Australian legal profession will walk, run, or cycle around Perth's Swan River or swim along City Beach to help raise money for disadvantaged youth.

The charity sporting event, Lawyers for a Cause, is conducted by the Law Society of Western Australia and will help raise money for the community while also promoting a healthy lifestyle.

All money raised will go towards the Chief Justice's Youth Appeal - a charity that distributes donations to a variety of projects and support services in Western Australia that assist in diverting youth from the criminal justice system.

The charity event, championed by Law Society president Hylton Quail, will show that lawyers and judges are committed members of Western Australian society.

Participants have the choice of taking part in a 5km walk, a 10km run, a 35km cycle or a swim leg at City Beach, followed by a barbeque lunch at the Royal Perth Yacht Club.
