Italians living in Australia can now receive specialist advice about Italian law with the establishment of a joint venture between Adelaide firm Lynch Meyer and Milan-based firm Studio Legale Panarese (SLP).

The partnership was launched today (17 August) by the South Australian Minister for Multicultural Affairs. It aims to assist Australian residents with Italian legal affairs.

"Many Australian Italians need assistance negotiating the complex legal landscape in Italy," said SLP principal director Fabio Panarese.

"Business people need support with commercial matters and individuals and their families require assistance with property and estate matters. It helps to have a lawyer who is qualified in both countries and who can speak, read and write Italian and English."

Lynch Meyer's Alf Macolino and Sonia Bolzon, who also speak Italian, are heading the SLP affiliation.

"It is great that business people here can have someone in Italy who not only knows Italian law but who also understands how Australian law works," said Macolino.
