DLA PIPER has posted record global revenue for 2007. The DLA Phillips Fox alliance partner announced its global revenue for the year ending 31 December 2007 at US$2.1 billion ($2.3 billion), which is up 18.7 per cent on the previous year.
The firm has invested widely in new and existing offices in the past 12 months, and has already hired 16 lawyers in its European offices since the beginning of 2008.
Nigel Knowles, DLA Piper’s joint chief executive officer said that he expects the strong performance to continue, despite worsening market conditions.
“We have performed well and our continued growth is underpinned by the DLA Piper model, which delivers for our clients and for us as a business,” Knowles said. “We expect our progress to continue unabated through 2008, albeit under more challenging market conditions.”
