The Australian Corporate Lawyers Association (ACLA) has today (6 July) announced the appointment of its new chief executive officer, Trish Hyde.

ACLA farewelled its former CEO, Peter Turner, who stepped down from the role after eight years.

"This is an exciting time for ACLA. As the peak body for in-house lawyers we are poised to take a greater stake in the legal debates in Australia and lift our offering and services for members," said ACLA's national president, David Patience. "Peter Turner has built our association to its current strength and the board has a clear plan for further growth."

Hyde joins ACLA after serving three years as CEO at the Confectionery Manufacturers of Australasia, where she raised the profile of the organisation and developed a long term sustainable model that is now in place.
