Colleagues of property lawyer and MasterChef contestant Peter Kritikides have long known he is a force to be reckoned with in the kitchen, says Lander & Rogers chief managing partner Andrew Willder.

And according to Willder, everyone at the firm is eagerly following Kritikides in his bid to become Australia's next Master Chef.

"We've known for a long time that [Peter] had real genius in him when it comes to food," Willder told Lawyers Weekly.

"We are very excited about [his] progress ... and there's always a lot of talk in our office the next morning after his appearances the night before."

Kritikides is one of four lawyers to make it to the final 15 in the hugely popular reality cooking program, and is fast gaining a reputation as not only an excellent cook, but as someone who can keep his cool under pressure while still being a genuinely nice guy.

"As well as being one of our promising young property lawyers, Peter is a very genuine person and has many close friends in the firm," said Willder.

"It's great to see that he's getting a chance to show the rest of Australia just what he can do in the kitchen."
