Lawyers at Herbert Geer will take it in turns to ride their bikes 520 kilometres from Swan Hill near the Murray River to the Moyne River in Point Fairy - all within 24 hours.

The team is taking part in the 2010 Murray to Moyne team cycle relay over the weekend to raise money for the Centre for Eye Research Australia and support research into the causes, treatment and prevention of eye diseases and vision impairment.

This is the third year Herbert Geer has taken part in the challenge, with last year's cyclists finishing the grueling event in just over 20 hours and raising more than $15,000.

Herbert Geer partner and Murray to Moyne cyclist Michael Truelove said the team's main objective is to raise as much money as possible and also to improve their riding time.

The Herbert Geer Bicycle Users Group, affectionately known as BUG, has an active cycling calendar and regularly participates in fundraising rides.

In 2009 the team participated several rides including Around the Bay in a Day, the Great Ocean and Otway Classic Ride, the 3 Peaks Challenge and BUG's own event - the "Tour do Philip Island".
