Has your firm rolled out the latest dessert range of Tim Tams? Or are you choking down stale rice crackers? It's time to get it out in the open.

As well as biscuits, law firms' toilets and parties will be put under the microscope, with voting now open for website RollOnFriday's coveted Australian Firm of the Year 2009 award.

The winner and loser (dubbed "The RollOnFriday Flaming Gallah") will be determined based on the results of a survey, available here.

Firms will be judged on their pay, staff development initiatives and staff treatment, as well as their standard of meeting room biscuits, toilets and parties. Staff can rate on a scale between "Excellent" and "Very Bad". New for this year, respondents are also being asked to rate the firm on its handling of the economic downturn, on a scale starting at "Intelligently and sensitively" and falling to "Like a box of weasels on acid". Knowing its audience, there's also an open comments box - a free-for-all for lawyers to have their rant.

South Australian firm Lavan Legal will no doubt be keen to retain its title from last year, but there'll also be tough competition from previous winner Piper Alderman, as well as other firms keen to prove their superiority.

RollOnFriday is also running a parallel survey for UK firms, with Bird & Bird defending its title from last year.
