Fitch has held the position of managing partner, and more recently, chief executive partner, for 13 years.
He will be replaced by Andrew Willder, who is currently national head of the firm's property, planning and environment practice. He will be assisted in the transition process by the firm's chief operating officer, Grant Scott-Haywood.
