The long awaited, sparkling new Sydney University Law School building will be unveiled in the presence of a high-profile legal audience at the university's main campus this Thursday evening.
Attendees at the launch of the new building - designed by Sydney University alumni and medalist Richard Francis-Jones - will include High Court Chief Justice Robert French, former Chief Justice Murray Gleeson, former High Court justice Michael Kirby, Federal Opposition leader Malcolm Turnbull and NSW Governor Marie Bashir.
The building will be officially unveiled by Governor-General Quentin Bryce AC and Commonwealth Attorney-General Robert McClelland, and NSW Supreme Court Chief Justice James Spigelman will give the official address.
The launch begins at 5pm after a day of public events which will include debates on climate change and medical ethics, a screening of the movie Legally Blonde and a performance by band Cloud Control.
