THE NSW Bar Association has received 127 applications for appointment as Senior Counsel.

A selection committee of five, that includes association president Anna Katzmann SC, will prepare a list of names to be put before a judicial consultation group.

While the association handles the application process, NSW Chief Justice Jim Spigelman retains the right to veto any applicant.
