IN THE spirit of the Melbourne Cup, 30 of Deacons’ female clients joined the same number of Deacons female solicitors recently to get decked out in fascinators — those feathery hats that adorn heads during the racing week that stops Australia in its tracks.

Joined by a milliner, 60 women met at the Melbourne Town Hall balcony to receive tips on how to wear different fascinators, and then modelled them in a parade.

Women from ANZ, Ferrier Hodgeson, Cadbury Schweppes, Westpoint Corporation, Stockland, Ernst & Young and the ACCC joined the Deacons women. Here Bendigo Mining’s Fiona Talbot is ‘dressed’ by milliner Luci Giblin.
