fast growing economic development in Australia and Asia must be supported by a strong services sector, particularly in dispute resolution services, the Asia Pacific Regional Arbitration Group (APRAG) heard recently.
Sharing a common interest in promoting arbitration in the region, and enhancing knowledge, skills and expertise, the APRAG members plan to undertake various measures to enhance its role, the group has announced.
Training for international arbitrators and practitioners will be one of a number of initiatives.. Other plans include hosting conferences, exchanging information, recognising accreditations and preparing joint submissions to both national and international bodies involved in arbitration law and practice.
