Jim Holding, the firm’s Brisbane managing partner, said the move provides a more flexible and collegiate working environment.

"We have created a new, open-plan collaborative workplace environment, which will enable our people to provide the best possible support to our clients," he said.

The building was developed and constructed by Grocon in partnership with Dexus Property Group.

DLA Piper will occupy a 2,850 square-metre single floor in the 34th level of the commercial office building in Brisbane’s CBD.

The design includes virtual meeting and other audio visual technologies, as well as a large open-plan function and meeting space, community and break-out zones, quiet rooms, offices and workstation hubs.

The key consultants who worked closely with the DLA Piper team on the design and construction of the innovative fitout included Woods Bagot (design), Spitfire Control (project management) and Shape (construction management).
