Bain Gasteen has recently promoted Suzanne Oliver to associate of the firm in the litigation and insurance group. She joined the firm in March 2004 and specialises in litigation and insurance with extensive experience in workers’ compensation, public liability, motor vehicle accidents, asbestos diseases, property claims and general insurance advice.

Keith Steele will be Freehills’ new litigation practice group head from 1 July. He replaces former litigation group head Peter Butler, who has taken on the role of managing partner. Steele has been with the firm for 28 years, having joined Freehills’ litigation group in Sydney in 1977. Since joining the firm, he has practised extensively in the area of commercial dispute resolution and litigation.

Chris Studach has joined MacGillivrays Solicitors property services division. He is experienced in private sector development of residential and major mixed use projects. Before joining MacGillivrays, Studach was employed by a large national law firm in Brisbane in its property development area.
