TurksLegal has appointed four partners to its Sydney and Melbourne offices. Paul Angus heads the firm’s specialist general insurance division. He joined TurksLegal in 2002 and his areas of expertise include public liability, property damage (commercial, domestic and motor vehicle), flood and water damage claims, householders and commercial property liability, theft, arson and fraud claims and recovery actions. Daniel Turk recently rejoined the firm in the area of commercial disputes. He has spent the past five years working in some of the top insolvency practices both in Sydney and London. Turk specialises in commercial litigation, insolvency and recoveries and acts on behalf of insurers and corporate clients. Ivan Medak practises in the area of general insurance and claims litigation and dispute resolution. His key area of practice is general and employers’ litigation claims, in which he advises on issues of indemnity, policy interpretation, negligence and breach of contract and statutory duty. Melbourne-based Jenny Willcocks heads the superannuation team. She is well known as an established expert in superannuation law. Prior to joining Turks, Willcocks held senior legal roles both within the superannuation industry and as an external legal adviser, and has been solicitor to the Victorian State Superannuation Board, Mallesons Stephen Jaques and manager of policy and strategy for the BHP Superannuation Fund.

David Radcliffe Ford, personal injury litigation specialist, has joined leading personal injury firm, Keddies Litigation Lawyers, as Special Counsel. The move to Keddies will enable Ford, who was previously with Abbott Tout for 16 years, to further develop his practice in plaintive personal injury.

Ford has 26 years’ experience in major personal injury law and is an accredited specialist in personal injury law. He is a CARS assessor for the Motor Accident Authority, has received many referrals from the Protective Commissioner for New South Wales throughout his career and has extensive experience in acting for brain and spinal injured plaintiffs.
