LEGAL consultancy Hugh Fraser International (HFI) has appointed Aberdeen lawyer Gordon Inkson to its expanding legal practice. Inkson has experience in commercial contracts, acquisitions and disposals by businesses in the oil and gas industry and is a key appointment to HFI’s Dubai-based legal team. Joining from Aberdeen practice Iain Smith & Company, and a graduate of Aberdeen University, he qualified as a solicitor in Scotland in 1998 and was for a number of years a part-time tutor at the university, teaching legal practice, company and commercial law. Inkson will focus on strengthening HFI’s links between North Sea energy firms and Dubai and assisting their expansion plans in the Middle East region.
HFI managing partner Hugh Fraser added: “[Inkson’s] contacts in the industry and understanding of their needs will contribute to our overall growth strategy and reinforce our already strong links between Aberdeen and Dubai.”
Hugh Fraser International (HFI) was established in 2003 by Hugh Fraser, former Group Head of Legal Services at John Wood Group plc, one of the UK’s largest energy service companies.
Based in Dubai and Aberdeen, HFI and its sister business support consultancy, Ventures International, has a team of 12 legal consultants and 12 business consultants drawn from the international energy and water sectors.
