Ryan Lawyers has acted for Singapore hotel owner and operator Royal Group Holdings on its new hotel in Singapore's CBD.
Ryan Lawyers principal Tony Ryan led the transaction and was assisted by special counsel Michael Simpson.
The transaction involved the refurbishment of an historic building and highlights Sofitel's recent brand entry into the rapidly growing luxury lifestyle market segment.
The deal also signals the expansion of hotel manager Accor, which used its in-house counsel to advise on the transaction.
The new hotel is located at 35 Robinson Road, a heritage building within walking distance from the Marina Bay area and close to premier shopping belt Orchard Road.
Sofitel So Singapore will have 134 guestrooms, including 23 suites.
The development will commence next month and is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2013.
